Eternity rings are traditionally given as a gift for a wedding anniversary or the birth/arrival of a child, but there is no set time to give an eternity ring. Some people give an eternity ring after 1 year of marriage, some after 40, so it really depends on when it feels appropriate for you. The endless band of an eternity ring symbolizes eternal love and commitment. Eternity rings can be either half or full eternity, which means they are either partially set with stones across the top of the band (half) or set with stones all the way around the band (full).
